Definately.. though I'm also definately *not* the man for this :-)

If anyone does get into writing windows midi drivers though another good
idea might be to drive a resistor ladder via the printer port to give a
very cheap (if you've got a pc already) midi -> cv conversion. The same
concept could be used to output 24ppqn clock to drive roland gear as
well... hmmm the more I think about this the more I like it!
