micromoog problems-help!

>>About five years ago when i knew nothing about moogs except that
steroeolab used them, i had the luck of buying a micromoog for twenty
dollars. Well in many ways it is a beast of a micromoog due to some kind of
"problems" with the oscillator or something else. Basically it works really
well on good days, producing deep rich bass, but on other days my oscillator
will conk out giving me nothing but trebly junk. Some days it is a
combination of both climaxing with nothhing but white noise after twenty
minutes. needless to say it is useless live due to such logistical problems.
Anyone have any advice on what i could do to get it working well again?
Nothing is broken except the ribbon pitch shifter, although the
doubling,frequency,and wide settings also have no effect whatsoever, so
maybe lots of things are broken. I must get it working well for i love it to
death. ALl help appreciated.
