BassStation, inside

If you open the case of BassStation (at least the keyboard version ..),
you can see that there's one top of the pcb some kind of a "jack".
It's about same than all these 8-bit expansion cards to be added on
your pc. So what is this, is it maybe used for something, to connect
some extra stuff in future to BassStation or connectin it self to something?
