That sounds an awful lot like Ric Miller's VC wave splitter. It basically splits
a wave into 2 parts (pos and neg), and lets you mix them back together with
a VC offset between them. Can make a sine wave become a "rounded square"
wave, and some other wierdness. Oh yeah, he also lets you side chain each
half of the wave before mixing it back in. Check out the ARF page for schemos
and WAV files. Pretty cool, IMHO. At least I'm planning on building one, on that
happy day I get to build again. :-(
