Does anyone know where the V/oct standard came from and why it was chosen? Does it have anything to do with resolution/noise performance as a function of pitch and loudness (the same amount of noise on a VCO CV will cause as much pitch variation at one note as another, say an octave higher - ignoring freq. diff limen for the moment - similarly with loudness). rob.
