OVERRIDING MIDI pt.II

Loads of people have been talking about MIDI cables having spare
connectors. I remember reading once that some manufacturers shorted
these together, but I can't remember if this was on the cable plug
or on the MIDI socket.

So it might be something worth considering before anyone blows
anything up, get out that ol' multimeter and check your cables and
sockets.

(BTW I *think* where I read this was someone describing how to build
a MIDI port for the "Gravis Ultrasound" PC soundcard.)
