This may be a crazy question but.. couldn't MIDI IN and MIDI Out be in
the same cable? One connector from unit to unit. That is the current
MIDI implementation using the same 5 pin connector. I have seen mods in
the past that used the unused pins in the connector to supply DC power
to a Synth such as the CZ101.
