Hi All the UK people,

I just got off the phone to EMIS in Bristol. I spoke to Andy and he is
finalising things with Doepfer. And present he is selling the Doepfer 23
module system for @1400. He is hoping to get the price to 1299. He has also
said that he wants to keep a stock of all the modules and hopefully all the
modules (except vocoder/MIDI CV etc) will be under 100 quid. His attitude was
very good and he is hoping that when everything is settled the prices to the
UK buyer will be only slightly higher than the Doepfer price. This is due to
shipping from Germany and apparently the extra 2.5% VAT because German Tax is
at 15%. He is a bit of a builder from the sounds of it and has been
experimenting with modding the modules and building some additional bits.

Another thing that he confirmed was that all the modules are standard Eurorack
size, i.e. they fit into the Vero Electronics Card Cages that
Maplin/RS/Farnell and everyone else sells. These are also available pretty
much at most Surplus type places. So it should be v. easy to custom build your
own system using the Doepfer stuff as a base to start from.

I am planning to build an analogue sequencer based on the clock
sequencer/Clock Divider and VC switches.

Give them a call on :

If you are interested, I wish them all the best and hope that this stuff
finally comes out at a price we can afford. Lets face it, the stuff is pretty
basic so it shouldn't have been priced as high as it was for us Englanders by
FAME.
