I just got the latest issue (Feb.) of Dr. Dobb's Journal today and it
has an article about building and programming an 8-channel, 12bit,
parallel port ADC using the Linux environment and a Maxim Max186 ADC IC.
Talks about writing Linux device drivers and linking them to the kernal
and stuff. Includes a simple schem diagramming the chip connections.

Thought some of you might be interested.
