MOTM pot decision time!

I'm posting to the list because this might help people building
other things as well..
I have had terrible trouble getting cheap vertical PCB mount pots,
but it occured to me that if the board is only small, then you can 
just use the very common righr angle mount pots and solder their
pins to the edge of the board, without bending them.
This is what i do sometimes when prototyping on strip board,
just solder the pins flat onto the strips at the edge of the board.

I guess those pots with big tags on them would be even more solid.
