I purchased a Boss DR55 drum machine rather inexpensively and would like to
modify it so that I can trigger the 4 sounds directly from +5v trigger ins.
I realy don't care about using the internal analog sequencer as I am trying
to use the box to add 4 more sounds to my analog drum rig. Has anyone on
the list done this mod? Analog Solutions provides modifications for TR606,
TR808, CR's and other drum machines for trigger ins, so I would think that
trhis mod is technically possible. Can anyone suggest the best way to
access the trigger lines for the four voices on the board so I can place
jacks as the trigger source instead of voice control occuring from the
internal sequencer. It is my hope that it will be as easy as shorting the
signal that goes to trigger each voice and then adding four 1/8th jacks
inplace of what would have been the output of the sequencer.

------------------ --------------
| | ------- Trig to Bass ------ | Bass Voice |
| | ------- Trig to Snare ----- | Snare Voice |
| Seq Logic | ------- Trig to Stick ----- | Stick Voice |
| | ------ Trig to HH -------- | HH Voice |
| | --------------
------------------

As seen in the ASCII diagram above, it is my hope to lift the lines that go
from the logic to the voices. I can only hope that the seq logic fires
voices via a +5v trigger. If this is the case, it should be easy to lift
the line where it connects to the seq logic and reroute it to a input jack.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Also, If anyone has/knows where I can get the schematic for this box I
would love to have a copy.

David
