.....no, but my suggestion is JUST DO IT and let us know ;)

where there might be a problem depending what you are using it for is
that if you look at the CLM6000 curves you see the 'switching on' is much
faster than the 'switching off' with light.... this gives a handy response
for compressors, as it happens. Kind of a built-in smoothing function.
what are you building?
A closer match might be a led sandwitched with a LDR cell.. others have used
this as a substitute in guitar effects.
