(Earth) grounding is another issue here. I think the only three
instruments
I still have with earth connected to signal GND are my three Yamaha's:
VL-7, CS-50, TX-81Z. But that's a different problem, and I was just too
lazy to cure it yet.
But I was using the CS-50 as a more general example: even without
earth gnd problems you get crosstalk with unsymmetrical connections,
just because several connections share one half of the connection.
