By the way, metal chassis should be connected to earth, i.e. power
supply earth, water pipe, whatever. To avoid electric shock hazard.  A
good grounded metal chassis is also a good shield against hf.  Many
publications state, that this shielding only works, if also the cable
shield is connected to chassis ground at *both* sides, thus shorting
all induced currents und shielding fields ....

hf beginns with 20000 Hz for me.
