A bit off topic.

I recently bought a cheap soundcard (20 DM), just to have midi in/out.
A joystick to midi adapter was not included, but I thought that this
was no problem until I realized the prices for theses things : 39 DM!
Now, I got an adapter from a friend for a while, to measure the
conection scheme. What surprise: The DIN pins 2 and 4 (which carry the
midi data current loop) have *NO* connection at all to the 15 PIN
joystick plug. But the adapter works.  I suspect some active logic
between the joystick in and midi in/out.  That would be an explanation.
Now I'm really curious.

Can please anybody give me some info about this strage stuff?
