1/4 vs 1/8 sockets

.......well unless the dust is more than a few mm large I don't see this
myself.....

In my experience wih modulars, 'good' 1/8 sockets are ok.... but there seem
to be slightly different 
varities of these, and plenty of shitty quality almost springless 1/8
sockets out there...so I'd be 
much happier with 1/4, premade cables for which are much more common & cheap. 
And bear in mind that if you are hooking up cheap effects to your modular,
why these are all 1/4 inch..

but whose Daisy system was
completely unuseable because someone found aluminium to be cheaper than
phosphor bronze....
