.......actually the whole point is to generate harmonics through 
non-linearities in the diode transfer function and then subtract out the 
original inputs leaving only the harmonics .....so what you want is
the most nonlinear diode you can get? or possibly a square law diode?

no way can I do this analysis....can our resident engineers comment?
By the way, I spoke once to someone who actually built one 20 or so
years ago and got the signal rejection 50db down....but it took 
a lot of diode matching...
