Do you mean running a sawtooth waveform through an ADC to generate
address bits? I thought about trying this (just a passing thought in my
head really) but I've wondered how good this would really work as
imperfections in the driving waveform (be it a saw, tri, etc) would make
for some interesting glitches in the resulting output.
But you're right, it'd make some interesting wave table sweep
possibilities. Using a triangle wave would be fun as it'd ping-pong
through the wave table. :)
