newbie's first VCF design. help please!

okay, will this do what I want it to?  if i'm obnoxious please tell me. 
i don't know exactly how a cv could be used here, what kind of voltages
produce what kind of resistances on a FET etc.
if anyone wants to tutor me they're quite welcome!!! (mmm-hmm.)
i think this should provide a path to ground for the higher freq's
(choose better c1&2 value) but won't that change the depth as well as
the frequency?
