Many moons ago I designed a few electrode amplifiers for medical use.  The dangers of even small 
currents flowing through the wrong bits of your body are quite astounding ( sort of thing Joseph 
Mengele probably still does for fun in Argentina). Please be careful!

Not sure about the 'States but the British tabloids would love a 'Muso dies in bizzare internet 
inspired brain fry up' story.
