The Akai DP3200 "Audio Digital Matrix Patchbay" is a fairly simple thing inside. The inputs and outputs (32 of each) are electronically balanced using a pair of M5218L op-amps. The switching devices are 4051s. The BBC Radiophonic Workshop used them in most of their studios. STEVE RIDLEY
