Oh realy. Well I can't remember where I used 'em so I can't comment on that
aspect. But I do recall that they were pretty clean. I don't recall how they
behaved with control voltage breakthru.

Yep. I have a sample of each of these. I2C bus or a derivative of anyway.
Very nice little devices. Not that I've actually used one. And after all
this time I'm not likely to be able to obtain any more of 'em easily. Or
cheaply for that matter. Also note that the digital versions of the LM1036
are in the same family. Offering bass, treble volume and balance. As well as
4 output channels and 4, switched input channels. Couple that with their
digitally controlled equalizer chip and you'd have a pretty cool system. I
have samples of all these from a proposed project of about a year or more
ago. Not enough to do anything major with now but enough to mess with.
When I get this atmel programmer happening, this is presicely what I plan to
do. But I don't know that it's gonna help much in the short term. The amount
of work involved in programming and de-bugging this stuff is definately long
term.
What I was hoping to do was to rig up some simple logic control now. Then
worry about puting a micro in the box later to handle MIDI.
But I was a bit afraid to mention 'em because they're "Digital" :)
Be absolutely ICebox.
