modular kit's

A lot of folks did, Aries, Doepfer may of at one time...

But alas, I know of no one producing kits of much anything any more (yes,
PAiA is still hanging in there). It had gotten to the point that the cost
of dealing with manuals, mal-constructed nightmares, folks using acid core
solder, etc was just too much for a lot of companies.
