Buy SoundDiver instead. It runs about $180 and available for Mac and
Windows 95.

The biggest problem I have with Unisyn is the support. There isn't any.
MOTU hasn't updated or released new profiles in a *LONG* time. I was a beta
tester over a year ago, and there has never been a maintenance release to
the base product since that time.

The product is generally okay, but there are a lot of bugs in the profiles.

You will find things to dislike about SoundDiver as well, just like the
"which sequencer is the best?" question. I don't have my copy yet (thanks
UPS!) but from what I hear, the Randomize mode in SD is not as powerful as
it could be. That IS one thing that Unisyn is very cool about.

I had two reasons to ditch Unisyn, 1) support, as I talked about. Michael
Hayden is the author of SoundDiver and is VERY active in the SoundDiver
mailing list. 2) SoundDiver allows you to create your own adaptations for
gear. This is a HUGE plus for me. I've fought with MOTU about Unisyn and
Dr. T's when it was X/oR about being able to do this.

So...that's my two cents.
