Hi All,
I'm back from my holiday in Austria. Some news: I've finally finished the
ASM-1 and it works great! I've used C. List's front-paneling!
Comment:
Glide: could use a log pot! Reach is very extensive! I like it!
LFO: Strange one! When I had only built the LFO it oscillated only till
around 20 hertz. Now that everything is finished I can go to 0.1 Hz! Great!
Noise: Very nice white noise, only the pink and the slow are a bit low of
level!
VCO's: VERY BIG freq-range! Far beyond the human ear! Only 'problem' I've
found is a big offset at extreme thin/fat pulse-width!
VCF: Very screamish at full Q but only a little bit of oscillation. I used a
stereo pot for the Audio in in order to attenuate the first two inputs in
stead of only the first. I've found it very hard to set the 'feedthrough'
pots!
ADSR: No complaints. Log pots would be nicer.
VCA: Works great!
I've made some photographs which I'll scan. If anyone is interested in these
pics let me know!
Furthermore, some off-topic questions: does anyone know which MCV1 software
version is in the archive? Does anyone know how to send an 'omni-mode off'
with cakewalk (ex-sys message?). And has anybody got the polyfusion formant
filter (2030) schematics?
Thanks a lot!
Happy building!
Erik
