'cheap' used 'scopes?

Check local amateur radio stores - they frequently have consignment
tables.

The large old Tektronics scopes are a good value since they are huge and
heavy.  Don't pay too much for them since parts ( CRTs ) are hard to
come by. Also, check it out carefully for mechanical damage ( broken
switch wafers, etc... )

Still, they are accurate ( time and voltage ) and very linear.  Good
stuff - figure on spending about $150-$300
