For heavens sake, don't slay your cry baby ;-). The filter may be no good in
technical terms but I and many other people love the sound.
Better look out for a broken, old pedal to slay, or even better, get some
linear pot pedal (Roland etc.), just to provide some control voltage, then use some
voltage controlled cascade filter schemo on the net, solder it and put it into
a 19" box or something else. Thus you can take the existing, approved voltage
controlled circuit, that's better for a start, I think.
A long cable to the pedal won't be no problem, since it i only a control voltage,
hum can be lowpass-filtered. The filter box itself can be very near to your amp.
