analog seq circut

hi all,

I am new to this list, so sorry if this question waste bandwidth.
I am considering building an analog sequencer to go
with my 2 panel Serger system I have built over the
past 8 years.
The seq is based on the plan in "Electronic Music circuts" by Barry 
Klein.  The plan is on page 64 and is based around the 4017B counter.

Has anyone built this? what are your thoughts? Any other plans 
recommended? How about a PCB that can be ordered?
