I'm afraid I must contest. Not only is the AD633 not optimized for audio,
it is also a single VCA (when used as a VCA). The CA3280 is **two** 3080,
and is there fore cheaper (though you need extra parts). The best option
(IMHO) is the SSM2024 - also available from Newark - for about $5 - that's
a **quad** VCA, optimized for audio. Now you may not need 4 VCA's, but it
can't hurt to have extras.

I too would like to see a drop in the number of AH-related posts crossing
this list. The best thing about synth-diy has always been the great S/N
ratio.
