I must say that early on the magazine had promise. I kept the first 3 or
4 yrs of issues because of the DIY info. Remember when they used to
print a section in the back on how to understand the schematics and
parts values. Very helpful for someone just getting started in DIY.
Since Craig Anderton left though the Mag has certainly turned into, as
you put it, "an advertising conduit for selling flashy Japanese
keyboards, and nothing more". Since that time there have been many DIY
music articles and projects but I have seen not one in EM, although I
quit even looking a few years ago. Too bad because I really liked the
magazine at first.
