August electronic music. moog mods

Uh oh.....you said a bad word.......actually two words:
"Electronic Musician".

I wrote three articles for them back in 1985-86. Two of them
ran. I got paid for one of them, a princely $90. Since then, there
has existed a cold, black iron curtain between myself and the
staff of that "publication". And since then, they have had
no less than four editors. The three ex-editors are said to be
owed large sums of money by EM's (previous) corporate management.

If they would just run more articles like this, I would not
advocate boycotting EM. Well.......let's give the new owners
the benefit of the doubt for now. Ever since POLYPHONY became
EM (and especially since Anderton left), it has turned from
a good DIY magazine into an advertising conduit for selling
flashy Japanese keyboards, and nothing more.

Is EM worth saving? Ask me again in two years.

Does anyone feel like calling for a public boycott? Maybe
some pressure on Molenda would get a few more DIY items printed.
Maybe.
