CEM chip favourite designs

Having recently gotten back into the wierd sound thing after a 10+ year gap I 
plan to make a bunch of independent modules around CEM chips recently purchased 
from Paul Schreiber.

After following the recent 'Favorite Designs' thread, I would be interested in 
hearing about favourite designs specifically for the CEM chips. In particular I 
am looking for schematics that will allow me to make the most of these chips.

To get things going, are the typical circuit applications that are given in the 
CEM data sheets adequate implementations of these chips or would this be a 
waste of their potential in some way?
