This is already partially possible with the VCDO. It has split grouping of
multiple waveshapes, allowing you to switch between waveshapes in a single
group using an ordinary LFO (with square wave out?). The groups must be
manually switched with a pushbutton though, but this is easily modified to
be advancable by LFO/clock pulse.
