If my memory serves me right... RS422 is identical to RS232 except the
electrical signals are transmitted over a differential twisted pair cable
at 5V. I think RS422 also specifies cable terminations. So, to convert
Emax's RS422 to PC's RS232, you'd either 1) buy an RS422 interface card and
program it just as you would an RS232 card or 2) make a small outboard
interface circuit using the required RS422 specs. I would choose option 1.
BUT ! My memory doesn't always serve me right so you should verify this.
Certainly buying the appropriate PC card would put that issue to rest.
