i've gotten my stuff (a 56002EVM $120 - the 56009EVM is a bit out of my $$$
range) directly from motorola university support.  but, obviously, you need
to be affiliated with an educational institution to get the discount
prices.  they may also sell the EVMs to non-university people at a better
price than the distributers.  i'm not sure:
