Rs-232 vs MIDI vs SCSI?

   Erm, doesn't SCSI have a limitation in cable length?  Typically the 
faster the signal propigation, the shorter the cable.  Sure, it'd be 
great for data transfers, but if ALL the gear has to be less than 4 feet 
from the computer...
