Technically, no one got the correct answer.

The ad is from a 1974 "National Lampoon". It's for Scotch
reel-to-reel recording tape. Notice the 2 recorders in the background,
without reels on them. (Several people correctly identified a Revox A77
and a SONY QUAD deck).

However, Mark Glinsky gets the chip, since his was the first response
to guess recording tape (Maxell).
