Chroma saw duty cycle mod (was Dialog still rolling)

A brief mention of the Chroma's sawtooth duty cycle modulation was made in
"Dialog Still Rolling"...

Can anyone elaborate on this circuit or its' techniques?  (I don't have
access to EN right now.)  Is this like some sort of half wave rectification
with a CVable rectification level?
