Ensoniq Mirage chips

   I've been poking around a dead Mirage and think I've narrowed the 
problem down, unfortunately it might be an insolvable one.  There's a 
custom Ensoniq chip (could just be a relabeled job) that seems to cause 
the 5V power supply to go nutty.  Either the last person to work on the 
unit put it in backwards or it's just plain gone.  In either case, anyone 
know what this is and where I can get a replacement?  OR, where I can get 
schematics?
