Pretty much.
Crosstalk mods, hi speed amps, low offsets... on and on.
Phil is a maniac. :)
He understands every circuit in the 2600 and much of the 2500 as well.
He's even duplicated 2500 pcb's and 2600 internal modules.
I wholly recommend you see his catalog of upgrades and modules.
I've used his 2600 submodules: sample and hold's, vco's, etc, and they were
all very fine quality,
often executed better than the original Arp submodule.
I've also used his "moog" style 2600 replacement filter submodule as the main
filter in a "Moog wah wah" pedal
I occassionally make a small run of. (I take new Cry Baby's and gut them and
install his filter module along with additional pots, etc and it make the
best wah ever!)
There are more pics, 2500's too, but some were flawed and weren't put up.
Also a rare, big blue RMS (Rivera Music Systems) modular.
I don't know it's historic placement in relation to Aries, though.
Tim Weyer Smith also does some similar Arp work, BTW.
I have a pic of his stuff up too I think, but it was scanned from a color
Xerox and could be better.
I'm expecting better photos from both Arp gurus, but they (like me and every
other analog synth tech) are incredibly busy and swamped with work- so be
patient. :)
I love these pics too!
And yes, I'd have put wood around that synth... that case has to go! ;-)
(But the modules are great!)
