Interfacing Wasps

I have a couple of EDP Wasp synths which I am fixing up at the moment, I like 
the sound of them a lot. I would like to interface them with my other stuff but 
do not want to spend a fortune on several Kenton units (although excellent, I 
do not have the money, both Wasps only cost me 25ukp).

Does anyone know of a way of adding CV/Gate to these synths as sampling rather 
takes the fun out of them.
I have generously been sent the schematics but my electronics knowledge is 
limited to the 'just get it working if the fault is only minor level' so I need 
to be shown how to do mods.
