System 700 modules questions..

Hello,
I've just gotten three system 700 modules:
VCF -1 ( 703A )
VCF    ( 703C )
2CH Audio delay ( 721A )

Before i try to power them up, i wanted to ask if anybody
on the list knew of any wise precautions/measurements/checking
to do beforehand ?

I've got the Schemos and layouts.
The boards take + and - 15 V which i can supply from my Asm-1 PSU,
but they've also got a connection for +14.4 V for the LEDS..
Do they need this or can i try them out with just the +-15 V ?

Any input most welcome..
