Hi Techs,
I'm now in the process of working on a cool design for a port.
practice weighted(fatar)key action w/ midi out for a Roland PMA 5. I
need to carry this on the road to stay sane.
I have a "D" stock Fatar 88 key bed avail. from FATAR which I want to
have cut to 49 notes and mounted in a 1/4" or 3/8" carpet covered road
case. They will also sell the Studio 90 basic midi circuit board for
$185.
Do you have any ideas on how to best acheive this?
My ultimate deal would be a FATAR 490 49 note controller brain and just
add the weighted keys and build a new case.
Or make it a strap-on remote.....pitch / mod. wheel?
My talks w/Fatar in NY got only to the point that they would help me to
a degree w/ the parts but not "do R&D on their company time". \\They
said the board would work but not have all controller func.
So, what do you think,
Would someone like you be able to check the schematics of their stuff
and take it from there?

I'll pay to do this right so if you want, give me an estimate.....
