Who can tell me about paia´s midi2cv8?

Hello Folks!
I am building an asm-1. And now I am looking for an adequate midi2cv
interface. Now I have found some infos in the paia-homepages about their
midi2cv8-interface. The price sounded very good. It´s $87,25 for the
electronics kit for self assembly and $33.75 for the cirquit board only
(manual is $10, the program sources for the eprom are availeble via ftp).

-Is there anybody who has already made some experience with this interface
and can advice me to buy it?

-I live in Germany, so would it be better to buy the cirquit board only and
get the other parts at home?
