This is just to inform you all, that my Midi-CV project is (nearly)
finished. If anyone's interested I'll be happy to copy the relevant
schematics, code, etc. and send it by mail.
Here's the details:
Single channel Midi-CV converter.
Motorola 68HC705C8 converter (approx. $20) with internal 8k memory.
8 configurable CV out's (each with optional Gate signal).
2x16 character LCD display.
Up-to 16 push buttons.
Its doing very well functioning as a controller for my small modular
synth, consisting of about 20 modules (3 VCO's, 3 LFO's, 3 EG, VCF's,
etc.). At the moment I'm trying to implement various things like user
setups, midi filtering, echo (?!) and more.
This project, altough I've used much more time than expected, has turned
out to be a great learning experience. I can recommend this to anyone
who wants to learn the details of midi.
A final note: It's only possible to reproduce the (my :) Midi-CV
converter if you have access to a Motorola 68HC705 (or eqaul)
development kit, consisting of a PC, and an evaluation module. So before
you ask for the schematics and code, you should REALLY consider the
(new?) kit from Paia, of which I only have had nice things about.
Thank you all for positive feedback.
ISac
