Re Doepfer in keys on filters

>From what I understand (looking at minimoog schems and of course hearing 
the sound)is that the Minimoog dosen't sound great because of the filter 
,but instead because of the DUAL VCA wired in PARALEL . This way you can 
overdrive the signal into and after the filter WITHOUT having the sound 
leak as you would using a single VCA.That is the secret of the Mini ??!!

As far as sounding like a 303 ,I've achieved the same sound (exactly the 
same sound) on a MiniMoog when using just one oscillator,but without 
that nutty glide it won't sound/act the same (and whats the point 
anyway).
