Hello,
I currently work with the Motorola 56k on an Atari Falcon 030
Computer...
The implementation of the audio circuits on the Atari Falcon is
very flexible, the audio data can be routed from and to
DMA(for D2D), DAC, ADC, and DSP thanks to a matrix.
The DAC are 16bit stereo at 49170 Hz.
As the Atari also includes a MIDI interface, it can be conveniently
transformed into a synthesizer.
Another point is that you can buy second hand Falcons at a very low
price (cos they are not PC DOS Windoz compatible, you can't play
Doom).
