Swapping LCD panels

Does anyone know if there is a problem running two LCD panels from a
port intended for only one?  The K2000 LCD connector is easily accessible
and I have been meaning to try using two at one time but, as stated
earlier, there is a r/w line that indicates the LCD sends data back
to the master controller at times.  This would prevent the use of two
if the function is used.  Is it normally used?  How much interaction
actually goes on?
