Power supply?

   You put a switcher in your Chroma recently, right Don? Were there any 
   regulation issues on the +12/-12? I'm curious.

Yup, and it's still running great.  No problems at all.  (Really!)
It was easily worth the effort and I've been very happy with the
result. 

But the Chroma is a very special case because it needs a whopping 3.5
amp +5.0v supply for the ancient TTL digital circuitry.  Without that,
there's no reason to have a switcher.

The switcher I choose, the PowerOne unit, has 3-terminal regulator
chips for each of the secondary outputs, so there are no regulation
issues.
