Wow, I just looked at this, and it looks really spiffy. If you get
something put together, let us know... It looks like you could make up a
whole batch of useful modules from this one, including sample-and-hold and
something called "ramp-and-hold."

I'll probably do some experimenting at some point, once I have a couple of
working power supplies and extra stuff to play with. Right now the ASM-1 is
eating up my parts budget like mad... (But I know have knobs and resistors
and jacks...)

Oh, and it looks like the 1/4" jacks from All Electronics are kinda
cheesy... They're probably worth the 0.40 or 0.50 you pay for them, but
that may be absorbed by having to replace them. (I bought a sack of 100...
Heh.) The barrel of the jack is off just slightly from the perpindicular
with the back part, and the nonconducting plastic bits appear to have been
injection-molded from brown plastic rather than cut from the usual PC board
backing substance. Dunno how reliable they are, as I've only just opened
the bag... I suppose they'll work for now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I
have to replace them after a few sessions of frantic patching.

The big boxes of knobs are rather nice, though. Now all I need are the
pots. Can anyone suggest anything? More on this in a separate mailing...

Josh
